What are the school start and end times? Instruction starts at 7:45 a.m. in the classroom.  Dismissal begins at 2:15 p.m.   

Where does my child go if they arrive earlier than 7:30? The school opens the door at 7:00 a.m. Students who arrive between 7:00-7:30 a.m. go to the cafeteria, where they can purchase a hot breakfast, study or socialize with friends.  At 7:40 a.m. students are dismissed from the cafeteria to their classroom.

What is the procedure for morning drop-off carpool? Students may ride the bus, walk or be dropped off through carpool.

Carpool:Morning carpool drop off is in the circular drive in front of the school off Evans Woods Drive.  Please refrain from cell phone use and drive slowly while in the carpool line.  There is only one line for drop off.  The first car in the loop pulls up to the first safety cone and all other cars pull up to the back of the car in front of them.  For the safety of the students do not pull around cars in front of you and for your safety do not get out of the car to help your student.  We have students and faculty in the carpool line to help students get out of the car.  Students should only exit on the passenger side of your vehicle.  If your child needs assistance with a project or has a lot of items to carry into school please park in the lower lot by the track or along Evans Woods Drive to help them.  Also, please do not drop your child off on Evans Woods Drive instead of entering the carpool loop.

Walking:  Parents are allowed to walk students into school during the first week to help them find their classroom, but after that we ask that you allow them to walk in without your assistance.  

Parking:  There is no parking in the circular drive in front of the school during morning drop-off 7:00-8:00 a.m. or afternoon dismissal 1:15-3:00 p.m.  There is parking on the street on Evans Woods Drive and in the lower lot by the track.  Please do not park in the staff lot located behind the school.   

What is the procedure for dismissal? The buses are parked in the circular drive in front of the school during dismissal and students are lined up according to the bus that they will be riding home. Carpool pick up occurs in the lower lot by the track in the afternoons.  Walkers are released in the front of the school.

How do I change my child's dismissal for the day? If you need to change the way in which your student is going home for the day, please notify the teacher via email or send a note for the teacher with your student.  

Do I need to sign in when visiting the school during school hours? Yes.  The doors are locked during school hours.  You will need to ring the bell at the and wait for the door to be unlocked.  Then please stop by the front office to sign the visitors/volunteer log and receive a visitor/volunteer sticker. The sticker must be worn during your visit to identify you to teachers and staff. 

How do I check my child in after 7:50 a.m.? Park in the circle and escort your child into the school. Do not let your child out in the carpool circle to walk alone to the building.  Students may not check themselves into school.  Once in the school, students may walk down to their class while you come into the front office to sign them in for the day.  

What do I need to do if my child will be absent for the day? If your child will be absent, please notify the teacher via e-mail.  You may also contact the front office at 678.874.2702.

What do I need to do if I will be checking my child out early for the day? Early dismissals must be done before 2:00 p.m.  Please notify your child's teacher about the early dismissal via email or send a note for the teacher with your student.

When are parent teacher conferences? Teachers and Administrators enjoy meeting with parents to maximize student success.  Their schedules don't allow impromptu/drop in meetings before, during or after school.  If you would like to set up a conference with either a teacher or administrator, please send him/her and email, leave a message for them in the front office or send a note in with your student.  

What school supplies does my child need? Please click here to see a list of school supplies needed by grade.  There is a separate list for French immersion classes and non-immersion classes.

What happens at Open House? You have an opportunity to meet your child's teacher, visit their classroom, meet the administrators, purchase various items (spirit wear, yearbook, PTA membership, etc.), learn about ways to volunteer, and more!

What if I cannot attend Open House? While it would ideal for all to attend Open House, we know that is not realistic. Your students can find out about their class on the first morning of instruction and you are welcome to visit their classroom then. Items for purchase will be available online starting with the 2018-19 school year.

Where can I find more information about enrolling my child in school? To register your student for Evansdale, please contact the front office at 678.874.2702. In addition, please complete the student registration forms.

Does Evansdale offer an After School Program? Yes- Evansdale After School Extended Day Program

Does Evansdale require a student uniform? No
