New families, you're invited to join us for Popsicles on the Playground on Saturday, July 27th from 10-11am. Chill out with other new families, and enjoy a cool treat at the front playground! 

Wednesday, July 31st

• Families with last names staring with letters A – L will come in from 9am – 11am
• Families with last names starting with letters M – Z will come in from 1pm – 3pm
• Any families who cannot attend Open House on July 31st can come to drop off supplies with their child’s teacher on Thursday, August 1st from 1 – 3pm.

Mark your calendars for this very important day! At open house you can expect to:

• Find out your child's teacher, visit their classroom, and you and your child will meet their teacher
• Sign up for transportation, lunch account, and aftercare
• Join PTA and purchase spirit-wear, yearbooks, and adopt-a-book 
• Get all your questions answered!

If your child needs to take medicine at school, please have your child's doctor complete this form and bring it with you to Open House. 

If your child needs to keep an inhaler, Epi-Pen, or insulin with them at school, please have your child's doctor complete this form and contact Ms. Raylene Lowe at to schedule a Section 504 meeting when school starts.

Annual Verification Application is now available. 

We are asking all new & returning students to complete the annual registration process (online) before Monday, July 31st. Your help in completing this process will ensure our open house runs as smoothly as possible & allows our school leadership to work their magic behind the scenes to prepare for the correct number of students & class distributions.  

Be sure to have your current proof of residency and a valid-government-issued photo ID as these documents are required to complete the application. Below are the links to access your specific application.

As we begin the new school year, we want to highlight some accomplishments that we’re proud we did together as a PTA last year.  In the next several newsletters, we’ll give you a Top 10, but in no particular order of importance as all them were significant. 

1. Provided welcome back and post planning day breakfasts for staff 

2. Refreshed teachers lounge with all new appliances and dining chairs 

3. Spread mulch on playground and front of school to combat erosion

4. Supported clubs with funds for competition fees and supplies 

5. Purchased a book vending machine for positive behavior incentives and celebrations 

6. Helped dozens of families with school registration and assisted Ms Riddle to become a notary

7. Bought vinyl banner with School logo for all school clubs, competitions and events 

8. Awarded nearly $10,000 in teacher grants to purchase learning materials, licensing fees, and new sports equipment; and attend conferences. 

9. Provided classroom funds up to $100 to every Evansdale teacher 

10. Organized the first Eagles United soccer tournament with Lakeside’s soccer teams
