SUBJECT: This Week at Evansdale: April 22nd-26th

This Week at Evansdale
April 22nd-26th
School Updates
Teacher & Staff Appreciation (April 29-May 3)

We all know that Evansdale Elementary "Hit the Jackpot" with our Teachers & Staff and now it's time for them to win big too! We're gearing up for a week filled with casino style food and games, and every teacher will be a winner.  Please read on to see how you and your student can help.

On Monday (4/29) & Tuesday (4/30), we will have tables set up in the lobby before school and will be encouraging students to write thank you notes or draw pictures for their teacher and/or another teacher or staff person who has made them feel like an Ace (supplies will be provided). We will use these to build a custom "deck of cards" for each teacher.  Each card written will earn students a "gold" coin or nugget (max 3)! Students can take them home to work on them but they must be returned by Tuesday morning to earn a prize.

Throughout the week (4/30-5/3), teachers & staff will have the opportunity to win prizes by playing simple games and by entering a raffle. We want to ensure that everyone wins a prize this week and that's where we need your help. Are you a crafter, artist, baker, tinkerer, small business owner or know someone who is? We are accepting donations of handcrafted items, big and small. Gift cards in any amount to restaurants, coffee shops, grocery, and retail stores would also be a great addition.  We will accept all donations through Monday, April 29. If you have questions or would like to make a donation please email me at mlherward@hotmail.com.

Together we can make Evansdale teachers and staff feel like Kings & Queens!

Wondering how to appreciate our teachers and staff at the end-of-the-year????

Instead of collecting for individual classrooms for end-of- the-year teacher gifts, the PTA is collecting donations to make sure ALL of Evansdale’s teachers and staff are celebrated.

Give online here OR bring cash or check (made payable to Evansdale PTA) in an envelope to the front office with "PTA" written on the envelope.

*Suggested donation- $15/child*

Last Day to Order is Wednesday!

Parents, please don't forget that we have our Square 1 Art fundraiser going on right now and all orders are due on Wednesday, April 24th. Square 1 Art is an art fundraiser where families can purchase items with their child's artwork printed on them. These items include but are not limited to, coffee mugs, blankets, pillows, phone cases, masks, refrigerator magnets, etc... Please order online using this link and the items will be shipped directly to your house before summer break. https://shop.square1art.com/Shop/view-all-products

These products make great keepsakes or gifts for Mother's Day and Father's Day! A percentage of sales will go to our Evansdale PTA who help support funding for our art and music programs here at Evansdale. Please let Mrs. Petrucelli know if you have any questions or if you have lost your art access code that was on the Square 1 Art catalogs.

Eagles United at Atlanta United

What an incredible day it was when our Evansdale school community came together at the Atlanta United soccer game last Sunday! The energy was simply off the charts, creating an unforgettable experience for all who were there. From the fun and laughter to the after-game penalty kicks on the field, every moment exceeded our expectations. And to top it all off, we received a customized Evansdale jersey! A massive thank you goes out to Jennifer Alexander for her outstanding communications with families, which played a vital role in making this event such a success.
