Wondering how to appreciate our teachers and staff at the end-of-the-year???? 

Instead of collecting for individual classrooms for end-of- the-year teacher gifts, the PTA is collecting donations to make sure ALL of Evansdale’s teachers and staff are celebrated. 

Give online here OR bring cash or check (made payable to Evansdale PTA) in an envelope to the front office with "PTA" written on the envelope. 

*Suggested donation- $15/child*

We are happy to announce that the registration for returning/new students window has opened. 

Annual Registration Verification

• Information went home last week in couriers on how to complete registration. Please scan the QR code and it will direct you to the appropriate application. 
• Need Registration help? We will have two days of in-person support with Spanish available on Tuesday, May 7 and Thursday, May 9 from 8-10am and 2-3pm if families need help with annual verification or new student registration.  Staff will NOT be available later in the summer to help this year so please take advantage of these days.  We will also offer more days later in May.

Placement Concern Form

• A red flyer went home last week to let Evansdale know your intent to return for 2024-2025 school year, and if there are any concerns that should be taken into consideration as classes are organized. 
• Please return by TODAY, Monday 5/6.

Wednesday, May 8th: Pre-K and Kindergarten students will celebrate their achievements with fun outdoor activities on the lower field. Each homeroom teacher has shared specifics on timing for your class. 

Thursday, May 16th: 1st-4th grade students will will participate in the annual honors program:

• 8:15-9:15am:1st Grade
• 9:30-10:30am: 2nd grade
• 10:45-11:45am: 3rd grade
• 12:00-1:00pm 4th grade

Tuesday, May 21st: 5th grade students will celebrate their achievements at the Promotion Ceremony from 6:00-8:00 PM at Lakeside High School. Students should arrive by 5:30pm.

Thursday, May 9th @ 9:00 AM

Incoming 2024-25 Kindergarten parents are invited to this annual event. Come out to learn what to expect for the school year and get free resources.

We look forward to seeing rising 1st through 5th graders during Step Up Night this Thursday (5/9) at 5:00pm.During our annual Step Up Night, you will learn more about your child's grade level for the 2024-2025 school year and choose from several information sessions.

Agenda:

• 5:00-5:20pm: PTA Meeting & Welcome
• 5:25-5:40: Rotation 1: Let’s Step Up! (Meet the teachers)
• 5:45-6:00: Rotation 2: Your Choice
• 6:05-6:20: Rotation 3: Your Choice
• 6:25-7:00: Q&A Session

The last day of the school year is Wednesday, May 22nd. There will not be aftercare the week of May 20th. As a reminder, all Evansdale Aftercare money is due by Friday, May 3rd. 

We had a week full of showering our teachers and staff with delicious meals, sweet treats, heart-felt cards, prizes and more!  A huge thank you to our Teacher Appreciation Chair Megan Delosky and her team especially Crystal Johnson and Arielle Fonclaud. We not only hit the jackpot with our staff, but also with our parent volunteers!
