Don’t forget to come and vote this Friday, September 27th, at 5:45 PM, right before our Hispanic Heritage Night celebration! This is an important vote to decide on dissolving the PTA and uniting with the Foundation. We need every member there to ensure our voices are heard! Your participation is crucial—let's make this decision together! 

Two more chances (Tuesday and Friday) to purchase apples and help your grade towards winning the ice cream party.  Apple cut-outs are $1 each so help our 5th graders soar to their goals! 

Fantastic Friday is a fun fall event for the whole family! It features carnival style games with fun prizes, candy, costumes, a kid-friendly Halloween Fun House, and much more! Favorite games include putt putt golf, face painting, tattoo parlor, football toss, fishing, and more.  We will have “Day of the Dead” crafts again, as well as tacos and pizza for sale, so bring your appetites.  Information for advance ticket ordering will be sent out in early October.

Everyone loves a good old-fashioned game of Bingo! Join us for Family Math Night on Wednesday, October 9th, from 6-7:30 PM! This is a fantastic opportunity for families to come together and dive into the world of math in a fun and engaging way. Enjoy exciting Bingo games with prizes to be won, all while discovering effective strategies to help your student(s) enhance their math skills! Plus, our dedicated patrols will be selling Pizza, chips, sodas, and candy to keep you and your family fueled for the evening. 

We had an amazing Fall Book Fair! Thanks you to all who came to shop, we earned $3,628 for our school! The money will benefit our PTA, support students with financial need to buy books and help Ms. Sansbury stock our awesome new vending machine!

Reminder: Make-up yearbook photos are happening this week on Tuesday, September 24th.

On Friday the 20th we had our SOAR assembly where we honored our students of the month for August (for School Pride) as well as our perfect attendance students for last year.  A number of students also earned gold tokens for the book vending machine by logging their reading in the Beanstack app in Clever!

September's character trait of the month is self-control.  Teachers will nominate one student each month!

During our Parent Teacher Conferences on September 24th, the counselors and special education teachers will be available to answer your questions and share resources and information.  Even if you don’t have a conference appointment, stop by from 3-5pm to chat.  Also Ms. Davis will be holding a Coffee & Conversation to share more about the DCSD gifted program and answer questions. Take advantage of this time to learn more about these services.
