We did it!  We voted as a PTA to dissolve our unit and can now proceed with unifying with the Evansdale Education Foundation.  From here on, you will see a transition as we will use PTO instead of PTA.  We also will take this opportunity to change our communications platform.  So, to receive weekly email newsletters combining PTO, school and district announcements, please sign up at this link (don’t worry, it’s much less complicated than before). 

We had a very special celebration of Hispanic Heritage on Friday night. We sang, we danced and we ate!  Thank you to Ana Rodriguez and Maria Ramirez for the excellent organization of the evening.  And a huge thank you to our fantastic families who poured their love and care into showing us through food and drink more about their home cultures.

The winner of Apple Mania is 5th grade! They will enjoy the ice cream party. 

Thank you to everyone for making Apple Mania such a great success. With everyone's help, they were able to raise over $1,500. Proceeds support our fifth graders' and their goal to attend two capstone field trips this school year. The 5th graders are extremely grateful for all of your support!

Fantastic Friday is a fun fall event for the whole family! It features carnival style games with fun prizes, candy, costumes, a kid-friendly Halloween Fun House, and much more! Favorite games include putt putt golf, face painting, tattoo parlor, football toss, fishing, and more.  We will have “Day of the Dead” crafts again, as well as tacos and pizza for sale, so bring your appetites.  

Ticket information went out in couriers this week.  Tickets may be purchased ahead (5 tickets/$1) or at the event (4 tickets/$1).  Pre-order tickets by returning the form in the courier to clicking this link.   

Everyone loves a good old-fashioned game of Bingo! Join us for Family Math Night on Wednesday, October 9th, from 6-7:30 PM! This is a fantastic opportunity for families to come together and dive into the world of math in a fun and engaging way. Enjoy exciting Bingo games with prizes to be won, all while discovering effective strategies to help your student(s) enhance their math skills! Plus, our dedicated patrols will be selling Pizza, chips, sodas, and candy to keep you and your family fueled for the evening. 

The School Choice Window is opening this week (10/1-10/31) and we are showing out! Share with neighbors and friends that if they are interested in applying to our school’s STEM (K-5th) or French DLI programs (K and 1st), they can join us for a parent-led school tour!  Tour dates are 10/9 and 10/22 @ 9am. No registration needed. Spread the word! 

Let’s get moving and reinforce healthy, active habits by walking, biking, or scootering to school together in the morning. Once you arrive, join us for a healthy snack available to participants from 7:00-7:45 AM by the front playground. It’s a fantastic way to kickstart the day and energize your family! Mark your calendars and don’t miss this opportunity to make fitness a fun part of your routine. We can’t wait to see everyone rolling in!

• Spirit Night coordinator - Talk to area restaurants to find our next Spirit Night locations  
• Cultural Arts coordinator - Identify performing arts groups to perform at monthly in-school assemblies and coordinate with school leadership to schedule
• Website management - Help keep our website up-to-date throughout the year
